American striker Gabe Segal has signed a one-season contract with Hapoel Tel Aviv and will join the club on loan from New York City FC of MLS, making 12 appearances and scoring two goals.

"Gabe is a talented young player - and in the minutes he got this season in MLS he showed his qualities," the club's head of football, Chen Sol, said of the 22-year-old striker.

Saul added: "Gabe is a pioneer with good data. We are delighted to have him join us and confident that he will help us meet our goals this season. We would like to thank New York City FC for their cooperation and look forward to welcoming Gabe to Tel Aviv soon."

Segal also played 12 games for the reserve team of German club FC Köln before joining New York City FC this season. The striker has also represented the United States in the youth teams.
